FIELD: automation of flotation process; automatic monitoring of thickness of layer of foam and level of pulp in chambers of flotation machines at concentration plants. SUBSTANCE: proposed device includes unit of isolated contacts, two reference voltage setters, two comparators, two galvanic isolation elements, two average magnitude computers whose output signals define thickness of layer of foam and level of pulp in chambers of flotation machines, AC voltage source and common and reference electrodes. Device is provided with circular analog switch, first load resistor, first full-wave rectifier, two-input gate EQUIVALENCE. Inputs of circular analog switch are connected to respective isolated contacts of contact unit and combined output of circular analog switch is connected to input of first full-wave rectifier loaded to first resistor; output of this rectifier is connected to combined similar inputs of comparators whose outputs are connected to two- input gate EQUIVALENCE whose output is connected to first input of galvanic isolation element and input of second galvanic isolation element is connected to combined inputs of second comparator and EQUIVALENCE gate.
