FIELD: materials handling; transportation of hydraulic mixtures, mainly water-coal suspensions. SUBSTANCE: method comes to pumping of mixture along pipeline and periodically starting of spherical cleaners to prevent clogging of pipeline. Pipeline is divided in length into straight-line sections in which volume flow rate of hydraulic mixture and specific pressure losses for friction without sediment at speed exceeding critical speed and at presence of sediment are determined. Following cleaner is started when value of sediment formed in section reaches the value calculated by formula given in description of invention. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities. 1 dwg
