FIELD: treatment of industrial and usual sewage; oxidation of organic compounds, namely, pesticides, chloroorganic and aromatic compounds and toxic compounds; oxidation of inorganic materials; disinfection of sewage. SUBSTANCE: stream of sewage to be purified is affected by electrolysis, diaphragm electrolyzer having cathode of glass carbon or of carbon-graphite fabric being used. The process is carried out in cathode space by uninterrupted supply of ozone-oxygen mixture (content of ozone in it being 10-17 mass %). Said mixture is regenerated in anode chamber of electrolyzer, the process takes place by supplying of fluoride-containing solution. EFFECT: improved efficiency of the method.
