FIELD: liquid fuels. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to technology for producing fuel compositions and motor fuel additives, in particular, additives for fuel compositions based on gasolines, diesel, and other fuels usable in automobile and tractor engineering, aircraft industry, rocket and pyrotechnics. Composition contains, along with base fuel, fatty acid-based soluble iron compound, 0.003-0.3 wt %(on conversion to iron) and additionally one or several camphenes, 0.006-0.03 wt %. EFFECT: increased octane number of gasoline and cetane number of diesel fuel, and reduced toxicity and opacity of exhaust. 2 tbl
