GEAR SEALING PIPE-LINES Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: pipe-line transport, temporary sealing of space of main pipe-lines of large diameter. SUBSTANCE: gear positioned into pipe-line 1 has bar 3 with thread on end made fast to cylinder 2 that carries mobile cylinder 4 mounted with clearance which butt is fitted with ring conical protrusion 5 facing space between cylinders. Bar 3 in this case faces open end of pipe-line 1 and is provided with lock washer 6 with locator 7. Pressing nut 8 may be screwed in addition. EFFECT: simplified design and improved functional efficiency. 1 dwg
