FIELD: medicine. SUBSTANCE: method involves intramuscularly administering recombinant interferon preparation like α-IFN, γ-IFN or their mixture at an initial dose causing body temperature of a given patient to jump by 1.9 ± 0.5 C, when compared to normal body temperature, in 5.2 ± 1.2 h after administering the preparation. Reaferon, Realdiron, Intron A, roferon A are usable as α-IFN preparations. Imukin and others are usable as γ-IFN preparations. The initial dose of mentioned preparations is equal as a rule to 1 million of IU. An IFN preparation is administered once a day in ascending gradient of single doses so that every following dose produces in patient the mentioned pyrogenic response until it vanishes when single dose being equal to 10-50 fold initial dose is administered. Repeated treatment is carried out when indicated, with IFN preparation not used in previous treatment but at least two months after the previous treatment course is accomplished.
