FIELD: geometry of cutting plate for working in the process of turning operation. SUBSTANCE: the plate has at least one angle zone and side zones adjoining it located around the bisector, which divides in two the angle formed by intersection of lines being the continuation of the cutting edges of each of the adjoining side zones. Each angle zone consists of a cutting-in segment located around the bisector, the radius cutting edge of the segment is intended for removal of material in the process of cutting in the workpiece to the depth of cutting with formation of a wavy roughness on the workpiece.
