FIELD: mechanical engineering; infeed milling of end face by different shape cutting tips. SUBSTANCE: milling cutter has many cutting tips with side and cross cutting edges. Cross cutting edges have different shapes for different cutting tips. Body of milling cutter provided with many sockets with cavities for cutting tips for reliable attachment of the latter has upper arm located at a distance from cross cutting edges of cutting tips. Thanks to it inserted cutting tips with different shape cross edges can be fitted in socket. Support members are provided both along and cross cutting edges to prevent displacement of cutting tips relative to sockets. According to preferable design version, one of support members includes rail-shaped projection on rear surface of cutting tips arranged parallel to side cutting edges of cutting tip and slot in lower wall of socket mated with rail in shape. Second support member is made in form of projection in body socket at a distance from cross edge of cutting tip and additional recess in cutting tip parallel to cross cutting edge of cutting tip.
