FIELD: material handling; lifting of long-length structures into vertical position in confined spaces at minimum time. SUBSTANCE: required number of flexible tie-rods 1 - 4 is connected, before lifting, to structure 9 lying on ground and placed on mounted joint 10 in direction from lower part to upper part. Tie-rods are connected in turn by one end. Each tie-rod is passed through its deflecting sheave 5-8. Then free end of each tie-rod is secured to sheave of following flexible tie-rod, and free end of last flexible tie-rod 4 is attached to upper part of structure 9. Then sheave 5 of first flexible tie-rod is connected to load-lifting device , preferably, to helicopter 11 by means of wire rope 12, system of flexible tie-rods and sheaves is drawn up, and structure is set in vertical position. EFFECT: prevention of deformation of structure by bending moment owing to redistribution of load along length of structure. 1 dwg
