FIELD: textile industry. SUBSTANCE: method involves subjecting fabric movable under tension to the action of piling surface while providing rupture of separate continuous filaments and leading out of broken ends. During rupture of continuous filaments, piling surface and fabric linear speeds ratio is within the range of 35-40. Fabric tension is 3-7% of tensile force applied to warp. Rotational speed of piling rollers, motion speed and tension of fabric are selected so as to produce fabric free of loops and tightened portions. Such fabric has high air-permeability and low dust collecting capacity. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method and improved quality of fabric. 2 tbl
