FIELD: measurement technology; mechanical engineering; metallurgy; chemistry. SUBSTANCE: device has laser 1 and the following articles installed in succession in direction of its radiation: system of flat mirrors 2 and 3, scanning assembly made as collimating lens 4 and multi-edge mirror prism 5 mounted for rotation about its axis of symmetry, receiving lens 7, photorecording device 8, signal processing system, bearing diaphragm 6 positioned in measurement zone and manufactured from material with low temperature expansion coefficient. Diaphragm provides for two reference time intervals one of which allows compensation of nonlinearity of angular velocity of multi-edge mirror prism rotation, and the other enables determination of part location in measurement zone, which makes it possible to compensate for nonlinear distortions introduced by collimating lens 6. Signal processing system includes time interval measurement unit 9 and recording unit 11. It also has correction device 10 consisting of controller 12 and permanent storage 13.
