FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, manufacture of disk saw by carbon dioxide - laser. SUBSTANCE: method involves preparing saw disk; fusing solid alloy onto saw disk within crystallizer, with surface to be treated being moved relative to laser beam; cutting saw outside crystallizer, with laser beam being moved relative to side surface of saw disk in three coordinates at accuracy of plus and minus 0.1 mm; performing saw setting and thermal treatment at one time by means of defocussed laser beam and local blowing of saw disk. Only odd saw teeth are initially subjected to mentioned operations. Upon rotation of saw disk through 180 deg relative to laser beam, remaining even saw teeth are worked. EFFECT: increased efficiency, simplified method, wider operational capabilities and improved quality of disk saw. 3 cl, 3 dwg
