FIELD: metal treatment by concentrated energy sources. SUBSTANCE: method includes hardening and tempering of hot saw blades. Laser hardening of surface of saw teeth is accomplished by travelling laser beam and then, high-temperature tempering of saw blade areas in the region of tooth space by laser beam with power sensitivity being 10-20 times as low and motion velocity of laser radiation spot 2-4 times as low as in case of hardening. EFFECT: higher stability of hot saw blades in cutting rolled products. 2 tbl
