FIELD: mechanical engineering; transport engineering; mobile and stationary power plants employing internal combustion engines, including gas turbine plants. SUBSTANCE: cleaner has housing with exhaust gas inlet and outlet branch pipes accommodating pack of catalytic members made of porous metals with through pores, diameter 0.5-5.0 mm and specific surface of 0.5-50 m2/g. Catalytically active coating is applied to surface of metals. Catalytic members in number of 1-20 pieces are installed in pack in series at a distance of 0-40 mm from each other to provide summary aerodynamic resistance of pack equal to 100-500 mm water column (10-50 kPa). Use of porous metal as catalyst carrier improves service characteristics of cleaner and provides effective cleaning of exhaust gases within wide range of operation of internal combustion engine. EFFECT: enlarged operating capabilities, improved service characteristics. 2 cl, 2 dwg
