FIELD: mechanical engineering; mechanism converting reciprocating motion of pistons into rotary motion of crankshaft in internal combustion engines, compressors and pumps. SUBSTANCE: housing accommodates two pairs of opposite cylinders whose axes intersect at 90 degrees. Two pairs of pistons coupled by common rod are arranged in cylinders. Middle parts of rods are hinge-connected with eccentrics whose centers are located on reference circle of planetary gear. Shaft-gear is mounted on single-throw crankshaft journal. Eccentricity of single-throw crankshaft is equal to 1/2 of diameter of shaft-gear reference circle. Shaft-gear is in constant meshing with sun gear ring, ratio of diameters of their reference circles being 1:2. At synchronous alternating operation of piston, rotary motion is imparted to shaft-gear and the latter, rolling over inner gear ring of sun gear, sets single-throw crankshaft into rotation.
