FIELD: mechanical engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for conversion of reciprocating motion of pistons into rotary motion of crankshaft of internal combustion engines, pumps and compressors. Conrodless mechanism for converting reciprocating motion into rotary motion comprises: housing 1, two rods, each of which is common for a pair of dual opposed pistons 4, two cams, which have a hinged connection with the middle of the rods, disc 5 with a hole, crank shaft 3, pinion shaft located on shaft journal 3. Mechanism is equipped with drive shaft 6 located on the neck of shaft 3 in the hole of disc 5 installed inside housing 1 at the middle of the distance between the geometric axes of the cylinders. Eccentricity of the geometrical centre of the hole of disc 5 relative to the geometrical axis of the centre of disc 5 is 1/4 of the stroke of piston 4 and is equal to the radius of rotation of the journal of shaft 3. Inside shaft 6 there is a rigidly fixed wheel having constant internal gearing with the pinion shaft, which is part of the journal of shaft 3. Eccentricity of the geometrical centre of the wheel relative to the geometrical centre of the axis of rotation of shaft 6 is equal to 1/4 of the stroke of piston 4. Ratio of pitch diameters of gear shaft and wheel is 1:2. Cams are located on opposite ends of shaft 6. Eccentricity of cams relative to geometrical centre of axis of rotation of shaft 6 is equal to radius of rotation of shaft 3 and is 1/4 of stroke of piston 4. Cams are made with possibility of transmission of synchronous serial motion of pistons 4 to shaft 6 driving shaft 3 and disc 5 by means of gear shaft.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at balancing the mechanism and increasing the rotation speed of the crank shaft.
