FIELD: shipbuilding. SUBSTANCE: method of dismantling the insulation coats is effected through high-frequency thermal treatment of adhesive layer between coat and metal surface under it. Thermal action on adhesive layer is effected from side of metal surface through induction heating of inductor in high-frequency magnetic field; inductor is located on side of coat; induction heating is performed at definite frequency range of field, temperature and rate of heating. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency.
