FIELD: oxidation catalysts. SUBSTANCE: invention relates to catalyst production technology and can be utilized for removing CO from exhausted gases. To prolong service life of catalyst operated in metal parts and to simplify process of preparation thereof, as catalyst carrier, metal part itself is used, which is treated by oxidizing solution, dried, and covered with catalytically active component containing superfine gold particles, placed in water and ultrasonically treated, after which metal part is calcined. As material of carrier, iron-based metal and, as oxidizing solution, ammonium chloride solution are used. EFFECT: enhanced efficiency of catalytic process. 3 cl
