ELEVATOR Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: oil production industry. SUBSTANCE: elevators are used for clamping, lifting and holding of pump-compressor pipes during round-trip operations in wells. Elevator has replaceable grips to which pivotally attached is rod with slot, body with slot for passing replaceable grips and post. Pivotally secured to body are shackle and handle. Installed in handle is spring-biased detent which interacts with post. There is also protrusion which is engaged with rod slot. In open position of elevator, axis of handle coincides with central axis of elevator x-x. Post with chamfer is located on central axis of elevator. Distance h on post from central axis to edge of post is equal to length of detent movement from elevator opening position to elevator closing position. Detent is permanently clamped to post plane over length of passing from edge of post from opening position to elevator closing position. Aforesaid arrangement improves reliability of elevator operation and simplifies process of switching fixing mechanism to elevator closing position. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 1 cl, 2 dwg
