FIELD: mechanical engineering; prestarting heating of oil in engine unit crankcase. SUBSTANCE: electric heating members of device are made in form of separate flexible rods with wire spirals wound on lower portions of rods. Wire spirals made, for instance, of NiCr are enclosed in dielectric heat resistant shell and are arranged in oil level check hole or oil filler hole. Each electric heating member in its upper portion is connected through incandescent lamp to positive terminal of power supply source, and in its lower portion, through end piece and bottom of engine unit crankcases, to negative terminal of power source. EFFECT: reduced time taken for preparation of engine unit for starting at below zero temperatures, reduced overall dimensions, provision of multi- purpose construction. 3 dwg
