FIELD: mechanical engineering; internal combustion engines; devices for heating oil at below-zero ambient temperatures. SUBSTANCE: oil warming device has housing, electric heating element, and insulator. It has additionally a connector with insulator. Electric heating element is arranged in laminated insulator in which mica gasket is fitted. Metal housing is chromium plated. Device provides reliable operation and heating of oil to engine starting temperature at ambient temperatures down to minus 40 C at power consumption two-ford lower than that in known heaters. EFFECT: enhanced reliability of operation, provision of engine starting at low temperatures, reduced power consumption. 5 cl, 2 dwg
