FIELD: mechanical engineering; power and kinematic drives of various machines, both as spur gear train and skew gear train. SUBSTANCE: gear train includes gear and wheel. Near pitch line teeth have form of involute to which arcs of circle adjoin: convex arc at point of tooth and concave arc at root of tooth. Radius of arc section is equal to half base pitch in end section of gear train R = 0,5πmt•cosαt, where mt is circular module: αt is profile angle of gear train. Beginning of radius R coincides with pitch point. Depths on involute and arc sections of tooth profiles are determined from the following relationships and ha = m-0,5hi, where hi and ha are heights of involute and arc sections of profile; m is normal module; r1 and r2- are pitch radii of gear and wheel; a is center-to-center distance of gear train and R is curvature radius of arc sections of profile. EFFECT: increased kinematic accuracy; enhanced efficiency due to enhanced stability of initial geometry; increased bending strength of teeth due to two-pair engagement of teeth in all phase of engagement. 1 dwg
