FIELD: mechanical engineering, in particular, reducers for drives of different machines and mechanical equipment. SUBSTANCE: transmission has gear and wheel, whose teeth have active surfaces formed as involute of circle and arcs of circle. Active surfaces are convex at part adjacent to head and concave at part adjacent to tooth leg. Slots have arced profile at active involute surfaces of teeth, one slot on each tooth. Slots are disposed within zone adjacent to pole in site having tendency to pitting formation. Slots adjoin at their inner side to gear pitch circle and at their outer side to wheel pitch circle. Width of slots is determined by expression , where Г is slot depth; m is module, r is 0.4 m minus radius of slot profile curvature. Slot length is equal to tooth length. Gear and wheel are paired so as to provide conjugation between slotted side of gear or wheel tooth and side of gear or wheel tooth free of slot. EFFECT: increased contact wear-resistance due to slots made in sides disposed of pitting formation, enhanced reliability in operation and simplified construction. 1 dwg
