FIELD: wood drying in woodworking, furniture and other branches of industry. SUBSTANCE: drying agent flow direction and distribution according to the volume subject to condensation, are controlled by changing the direction of flow of vapor-air mixture along the pile with discharge of vapor-air mixture in one of the directions to the condensing device. The plant working chamber is made in the form of a water-cooled jacket accommodating two horizontal walls, installed between which on each side on vertical shafts through a turning drive are two rotary flat shields separating the lateral ducts between the pile and lateral jacket into two parts with gaps formed by the rotary shields with the rear and front walls of the working chamber; the lateral ducts in the front wall are each connected through branch pipes to the drying agent injection system having two centrifugal fans so that butterfly valves coupled through a control system to the rotary shields in the working chamber are installed in the points of intersection of pipelines of the drying agent injection system.
