FIELD: wood working industry.

SUBSTANCE: method of drying consists of multiple alternation of wood blowing cycles by air coolant at atmospheric pressure with its heating up to volume-averaged temperature of 80-100°C, pulse speed vacuumising at working pressure of not more than 50 mm of mercury column for the time of 10 sec with squeezing of free moisture without phase change of water into steam to established permanent value of wood temperature, vacuum collapse down to atmospheric pressure by supply of air coolant, besides blowdown of wood and vacuum collapse are done with air coolant of temperature of 150-300°C at excessive pressure of not more than 0.07 MPa. Installation that realises this method of wood drying includes two drying chambers connected by pipelines to fast-acting valves with cooled receiver, serially connected to the second receiver and to vacuum pump with the help of pipeline with vacuum lock. The first receiver is equipped with spiral guides of steam and drop medium flows along tangent to inner diameter of receiver body. Drying chambers are connected to system of coolant preparation and supply.

EFFECT: method and device intensify process of drying and improve quality.
