FIELD: instrumentation. SUBSTANCE: determination of residual resource of pipe-line in process of its operation: in agreement with proposed method residual resource of structure is determined by relation of impact elasticity of material of structure to tared impact elasticity or impact elasticity corresponding to brittle failure of material. For determination of impact elasticity of material of structure calibrated dependence between impact elasticity of material of samples subjected to deformation aging of various degree and their magnetic-noise signals is established. Magnetic-noise signal of structure in examined zone is also measured and used together with calibrated dependence for determination of impact elasticity of material of structure. EFFECT: exclusion of necessity to cut out samples of structure. 2 dwg
