FIELD: devices for therapeutic procedures. SUBSTANCE: besom has branches of leafy trees bound at their crown part to form bundle. Carcass branches are arranged in bundle center and embraced with peripheral branches. Branch stems form handle. Additional carcass branches are introduced between peripheral branches, with length of additional branches being lesser than that of peripheral branches. Branch stems are bound to form additional joint disposed at distance of 50-80 mm from handle end and connected with upper joint. Length of branches is within the range of 400-800 mm, diameter 20-80 mm, with total number of branches being within the range of 25-50. Method involves gathering and preparing branches of leafy trees; binding branches at their crown part to form bundle with stems forming handle portion; dividing branches prepared for binding into two parts; compressing first part and binding with cord, such as hempen rope; twisting rope ends and, without decreasing rope tension, connecting second part of branches to compressed first part; simultaneously compressing both parts and binding the whole bundle two or three times with rope ends; fastening rope ends in knot; passing remaining rope ends together along handle at distance of 50-80 mm from handle end; leading remaining ends outside through stem middle part; disintegrating rope ends; compressing from left and right sides and embracing bundle with led out rope ends in lower part of stems two or three times; fastening rope ends in knot; effectuating final binding and treating besom crown with 5-7 g of salt.
