FIELD: fire-fighting equipment. SUBSTANCE: aerosol generator has pyrotechnic blasting cartridges axially located inside casing through construction gypsum layer, cooling unit of ablation material granules, igniter mounted in said unit, communicated with combustion chamber and electrically connected to remote control device, convex closure with distributing radial discharge openings, and perforated receiver positioned between cooling unit and discharge openings in closure. Aluminum membrane is fixed on casing open end. Igniter is disposed in central fire spreading tube of cooling unit and connected to remote control device through closed commutator. Radial discharge openings are closed with bandage of aluminum foil. Said generator provides generation of fire-extinguishing aerosol sprayed into volume to be protected from fire in sea and river vessels. EFFECT: enhanced reliability in operation, prolonged storage life under increased atmospheric humidity conditions, and wider operational capabilities. 1 dwg
