FIELD: mechanical engineering. SUBSTANCE: separator has inlet and outlet opening, tank for flowing emulsion from which metal chip is to be removed, and electromagnet. The tank is made up as a netted container with metal balls. The emulsion enters the housing through the inlet and outlet openings. Metal chip is settled on the metal balls. As the space between balls is filled with the chip the container is removed from the housing. The balls are washed and clean container is returned into the housing. EFFECT: improved method. 2 dwg
