FIELD: process engineering.
SUBSTANCE: proposed separator comprises tank with treated fluid intake and discharge branch pipes, mounting frame and cylindrical magnetic cartridges representing sets of cylindrical disk magnets. Cartridge head part is screwed on to crossbar. Aforesaid magnets are arranged across treated fluid flow. Separator comprises also a device to remove slurry. Magnetic separator has rotary portal secured on the tank and furnished with drive motor with screw pairs and liner rolling bearings mounted thereon. Said bearings are coupled with the frame, cylindrical magnetic cartridges are shifted row-by-row and have lengthwise axis aligned with those of the frame and rotary portal. Said frame can reciprocate along rotary portal that can be arranged at various angles to fluid flow. Aforesaid device to remove slurry comprises slurry conveyor fitted on the tank bottom, slurry separator with its work elements embracing every magnetic cartridge. Said magnetic cartridge is coupled with rotary portal and perpendicular to it, right above tank fluid level.
EFFECT: higher efficiency.
