FIELD: mail systems. SUBSTANCE: feeding conveyer provided with sides moves items to first tray at start-stop mode. Portion of items is delivered on live-roller table secured by means of hinges and located below feeding conveyer. Width of roller table exceeds that of conveyer. Layer of items is formed on roller table under action of vibrator and speeded-up motion of rollers. Former of items is provided with second tray. Row of items separated from layer is lowered to chute formed by two walls inclined relative to each other where row is spread lengthwise. Each wall of chute consists of movable and fixed sections: movable sections of one wall are located opposite fixed sections of other wall. Feeding conveyer is switched on and off by first control unit according to signals sent from item availability sensors fitted in sides of roller table. Second control unit discontinues and restores rotation of rollers of roller table by signals received from item availability sensors fitted in sides of second tray and in fixed sections of walls of chute. EFFECT: reliable protection of mail against damage; improved quality of separation. 2 dwg
