FIELD: material testing. SUBSTANCE: process of test of metal sample for correction of microcracks in weld is related to testing and consists in making of stress concentrator on surface of weld of sample in the form of notch, in application of load to sample in vertex of concentrator of microcrack, in fixing of its depth. After this notch is removed by opening of microcrack on surface of weld, metal zone is subjected to action of pulse plasma in vacuum and conditions for action on microcrack of specified depth are determined for each particular metal under which its correction occurs from surface in absence of deep down growth. EFFECT: improved efficiency of process.
