AUTOMATIC LUMBER-SAWING LINE Russian patent published in 1998 - IPC

FIELD: automatic lumber-sawing line for length cutting of logs. SUBSTANCE: the line has an automatic control board, transverse feeders for log loading, guide with a carriage, lumber-sawing assembly with belt saws. The lumber-sawing assembly is installed on the carriage for turning in the horizontal plane; the saws are arranged symmetrically relative to the guide and furnished with separate drives of vertical motion. Logs selected for obtaining lumber of the given kind are fed from feeders in pairs and fixed by stops along the guide in the zone of coverage by belt saws. At reciprocating motion of the carriage each saw carries out log sawing in the specific zone of sawing into lumber of the given kind irrespective of the other saws.
