FIELD: reprocessing of timber. SUBSTANCE: apparatus has two sawing units, log parameter registering unit, unit for providing parallelism of axial lines of log and apparatus, log and timber feeding unit, complex of measuring devices and wastes removal unit. Each sawing unit has circular saw united with horizontal disk cutter assembly. Log parameter registering unit has central beam, along which clamping poles are moved by clamping hydraulic cylinders. Supporting bases spring-loaded relative to movable bases allow parallelism of log and apparatus lines to be provided. Logs are displaced by hydraulic cylinders with blocks on stem ends and cable drums with reversible hydraulic engines. Measurement device complex has strain-measuring sensors, gaged rule, feelers, set of cameras and computer.
