FIELD: organic chemistry and technology. SUBSTANCE: method involves polymerization of 1,3-butadiene in an inert organic solvent in the presence of catalytic system based on alumoxane and transient metal organic salt. Iso-butylalumoxane is used as an alumoxane. Catalytic system is prepared in the presence of butadiene at mole ratio of components transient metal organic salt : iso-butylalumoxane : butadiene = 1:(90-440):(1:30), respectively. The use of this catalytic system ensures to synthesize 1,2-polybutadiene at content of 1,2-links up to 95.5% and the yield of polymer is 94%. Invention can be used in synthetic rubber industry.
