FIELD: transport engineering; vehicles with combination power plants. SUBSTANCE: at contact running traction motor of vehicle is supplied by contact system and at non-contact running, by self-containing power unit with traction storage batteries. The latter are connected in parallel for charging and in for discharging. Each storage battery is connected with common terminals of charging and discharging circuits through corresponding pairs of diodes. Thyristors placed between unlike poles of storage batteries are cut off and are turned on in groups at charging and discharging of storage batteries, respectively. EFFECT: improved operation reliability of vehicle and widening of range of operation at self-propelled running. 1 dwg
