FIELD: shipbuilding; shipboard electrical power plants with shaft generators and frequency converters, mainly with diesel engines used as main engines. SUBSTANCE: electrical plant includes main diesel engine connected with propeller by means of shaft line and shaft generator provided with excitation system and kinematically linked with main diesel engine. Stator winding of shaft generator is electrically connected with busbars of shipboard electric power station through frequency converter and switch. Output of control system of frequency converter is connected to control input of converter and its input is connected to converter output through voltage sensor. Plant includes also auxiliary diesel engine kinematically connected via disengagement clutch with auxiliary generator. Generator is provided with excitation system and is electrically connected with busbars of shipboard electrical power station. Plant also includes current converter with current regulator and control system. Output of current converter is connected to electric power accumulator through current sensor. Besides that, plant includes the following components connected in series: shaft line elastic vibrations sensor, phase shifter and amplifier whose output is connected to first input of current accumulator regulator. Second input of regulator is connected with output of current accumulator sensor; output of regulator is connected with input of current converter control system. Auxiliary three-phase stator winding of shaft generator is connected to power input of current converter and to main winding of shaft generator by means of two-position selector switch.
