FIELD: production of special technical ceramics used for manufacturing high-strength light-weight armour. SUBSTANCE: feedstock has the following composition, mas. %: alumina, 68-88; titanium dioxide, 1-1.8; calcium carbonate based on weight of CaO, 0.2-1. In addition, feedstock comprises binder К5ПГ or К43ПГ in the amount of 10-30 mas.%. These components are mixed by dry method in conventional-type mixers. Articles from this feedstock are produced by semidry pressing or slip casting, followed by roasting them at 1200-1350 C in oxidizing atmosphere. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 3 tbl
