FIELD: technology of ceramic material producing. SUBSTANCE: method involves mixing aluminium nitride and oxide and titanium dioxide taken at the ratio, wt.-% aluminium nitride 0.1-51.9; titanium dioxide 44.0-49.9, and aluminium oxide 0.1-55.9 followed by their combined grinding, blank forming and roasting in oxygen-containing atmosphere up to ceasing blank mass change. After cooling reaction-caked monophase ceramic material made of aluminium titanate is obtained. This material shows finely grained structure. EFFECT: increased mechanical strength at decreased values of heat expansion linear coefficient. 1 tbl
