SUBSTANCE: iron-carbon alloys are heated at 600-900 C in mixture containing water vapor and air at weight ratio ranging from 0.02 to 200 (the higher temperature, the larger ratio). EFFECT: increased corrosion resistance of oxide coating of alloys without any technology complication.
