FIELD: nuclear engineering.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to nuclear engineering. Article surface is polished to achieve roughness Ra < 0.2 and depth of not less than 15 mcm. Grain surface layer is oriented mainly in one direction and at same line tangent to surface of article, average number of oriented grain surface layer should be not less than 50 % of total amount. After polishing surface passivation is performed until thickness of oxide film is not less than 1.5 mcm. Also, contour passivation is performed in heavy liquid metal coolant with thermodynamic activity of oxygen from 10-6 up to 10-5, and outside contour - with high-temperature steam for several tens of minutes or hours at temperature higher than 400 °C.

EFFECT: to provide reliable serviceability of circuit with heavy liquid metal coolant due to increase in corrosion resistance of steel and mechanical strength of article surface is cleaned from dirt and further machining of surfaces in contact with coolant.
