FIELD: construction engineering. SUBSTANCE: this relates to hydraulic devices intended for absorbing impact force and it can be used in construction of buildings and structures in earthquake zones. Design of device is as follows. Embedded in reinforced concrete structure of cylindrical or rectangular configuration is steel-made ball-shaped chamber with circular hollow swirler, or chamber in the form of two steel-made ball-shaped communicating vessels with pipe unions and plugs for filling with liquid and monitoring level of liquid. Larger part of chamber volume is filled with liquid, and remaining part of chambers is filled with air. Powerful shock transmitted through rigid body of foundation support and chamber imparts substantial velocity to liquid. Liquid when counteracting impact force will be directed at very high velocity against action of impact force. Liquid possessing insignificant compressibility will direct entire energy, acting in this case as piston of variable shape, for compression and vacuumizing of air zones, for creation of eddy flows in liquid. This will be facilitated by sufficient fluidity of liquid and spherical configuration of chamber. Thus, design is aimed at improving strength and operational efficiency of shock-proofing hydraulic devices. EFFECT: higher efficiency. 2 cl, 7 dwg
