SUBSTANCE: device functions to process and analyze electronic images by means of gaseous-discharge glow formed when object (such as patient's finger) occurs in high-intensity electric field. Device has field-shaping electrode, dielectric that insulates analyzed object, and TV camera. Electrode and dielectric are optically transparent; electrode is placed between dielectric and TV camera. Dielectric may have as an alternative, optical fiber, electrode may be made in the form of metal grid, and all components of device may be fixed within single case.
