FIELD: agricultural equipment. SUBSTANCE: onion planting machine has frame, furrow cutting member, seeding unit and covering roll. Seeding unit has at least two transport wheels positioned in parallel and at required distance one with respect to another and adapted for forming furrows. Each wheel is provided with hollow pipes whose ends are arranged in symmetry and diametrically and rigidly connected with rim. Pipe ends serve as spokes and channels for passage of seed onions into cut furrow. Seed onion is dispensed in piece-by-piece manner the moment pipe end passes radial part of hopper bottom, which is provided with labyrinth running about part of transport wheel circle in equally spaced relation to it and with slots for passage of fork which is pivotally connected with wheel.
