FIELD: mechanical and transport engineering; keeping vehicle drivers and operators in different branches of industry in fit-for-work state. SUBSTANCE: in proposed method adequate reaction of driver on sense of stimulus under reduction of vigilance level is analyzed. For this purpose sound stimulus in form of at least one speech question (command) to driver is formed to make the driver effect actively realized operation. Speech answer of driver to question (command) and (or) carrying out of above indicated operation is recorded as reaction. Then content of question (command) and speech report or carried out operation are compared and their conformity is taken as criterion of watchfulness. System has processor-controlled stimulus and command forming units, and unit to analyze reaction of driver to speech stimuli, including recognition of speech, and stimulus and reaction analyzing unit.
