FIELD: traffic control systems. SUBSTANCE: along with spinning gyromotor rotor to rated speed in fine measurement range, setting vector of kinetic moment of gimbal mount plane axes in perpendicular position, and measuring angular velocities, rotor is accelerated in advance to fixed speed, kinetic moment vector is set in perpendicular position, and angular velocities are measured, and then gyroscope is changed over to fine measurement of angular velocities according to moving-object time cyclogram. Relation between frequencies of ac current by means of which rotor is accelerated to rated and fixed frequencies should meet requirement ensuring serviceability of gyroscope within working region in both measurement ranges and steady running of rotor on mount at fixed frequency of gyromotor power supply. EFFECT: provision for measuring angular velocities both in fine and in extended measurement ranges. 1 dwg
