FIELD: optical systems measuring distances. SUBSTANCE: device includes laser with excitation aid providing for change of working frequency of laser to control noises in the form of speckles. Emitted signal is reflected from target, is interfered in laser built in the form of laser diode that leads to radiation of signal in the form of intensity pulses directed to side opposite to direction to target. Detection of this signal provides for generation of feedback signal which carries information on range to target. Signal of laser excitation is determined by sweep frequency of 1000 Hz and higher and form of excitation signal presents series of individual sawtooth sections alternating with flat inclination sections descended downward. Device ensures blanketing of part of feedback signal to diminish influence of breaks of continuity of excitation signal of laser on readings of range meter. EFFECT: diminished influence of breaks of continuity of excitation signal of laser on readings of range meter. 5 cl, 9 dwg
