FIELD: processing of hydrocarbon-containing gases; manufacturing of sorbents and catalyst carrier. SUBSTANCE: hydrocarbon-containing gases are affected by decomposition, the process takes place at 450-600 C in decomposition reactor 1 with the help of catalyst 2. Reactor 3 for oxidation of hydrogen having catalyst 4 is placed into decomposition reactor 1. Hydrogen is oxidized in fluidized bed of catalyst. Gases are heated and/or temperature inside decomposition reactor 1 is maintained by transferring heat from reactor 3. Water being prepared in reactor 3 is condensed in condensator 7. Gaseous products are repeatedly fed into reactor 1 or into the second decomposition reactor 2. Yield of carbon is 130-141 g per 1 g of catalyst, operation time of catalyst being 4.5-26 h.
