FIELD: bank equipment. SUBSTANCE: device has unit for separation and conveying sheets, two photo current amplifiers which are connected to first and second terminals of unit for separation and conveying sheets, two analog-to-digital converters, two peak detectors, which are connected between outputs of photo current amplifiers and reference inputs of analog-to-digital converter, control unit which data bus is connected to bit outputs of analog-to-digital converter, adapter, which input and output buses are connected respectively to output and input buses of control unit, which first and second inputs are connected to third and sixth terminals of unit for separation and conveying sheets. First and second outputs of control unit are connected to fourth and fifth terminals of unit for separation and conveying sheets. Third and fourth inputs of control unit are connected to terminals of photo current amplifiers. In addition device has decoder which code inputs are connected to address bus of control unit. Its permission input is connected to RD output of control unit; its outputs are connected to START inputs of analog- to-digital converter. EFFECT: increased reliability of recognition of joined sheets due to increased precision of measurement of optical density of counted bank-notes. 2 dwg
