SUBSTANCE: device has white light source, multiple dichroic mirrors which split light beam into three beams of basic colors which are reflected by three alternating-shape surfaces which reflect beams through slits in non-reflecting surface. This results in modulation of light beam intensity. Light which passes through slits is scanned in horizontal direction by means of one surface of rotating polygon mirror.
